Former Twins starter Carl Pavano remains hospitalized after having his spleen removed following a fall at his Vermont home, according to the Associated Press.
His agent says Pavano didn’t think he was seriously injured after last month’s the, but the bleeding didn’t stop.
“He lost a lot of blood,” agent David Pepe said. “It was very, very serious.”
Pavano, 37, is expected to be released this week. He’s a free agent this winter after spending the past 3 1/2 seasons with the Twins.
