A Hall of Famer is joining the Minnesota Twins coaching staff.
Former Twins, Blue Jays and Brewers infielder Paul Molitor will join the staff as a bunting, base-running and infield positioning coach, according to the Star Tribune.
It will be Molitor’s second stint as a coach for the Twins. He was on Tom Kelly’s staff in 2000 and 2001.
The St. Paul native was a two-time All-American at the University of Minnesota, which led him to the Major Leagues as the No. 3 overall pick by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1977 MLB Draft.
Molitor finished his 21-year big league career with a .306 batting average and 3,319 career hits.
He was inducted into the MLB Hall of Fame in 2004.
