Cordarrelle “Flash” Patterson is off to a flashy start with the Vikings.
Patterson is averaging an NFL-best 33.8 yards per kickoff return through four games and his performance has been rewarded with the NFC Special Teams Player of the Month award for September.
His 105-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against the Bears is one of only two kickoff returns for touchdowns this season. The other belongs to Denver’s Trindon Holliday.
Patterson has had a small impact on the Vikings’ passing game. He has six receptions for 82 yards and no touchdowns. He’s been targeted only nine times.
