The Wild threw up a dud Sunday night with a 6-3 road loss to the New York Islanders.
It was the first set of 13 back-to-backs the Wild will play this season – they lost 2-1 in overtime to the Devils on Saturday night. The lone bright spot in an otherwise lackluster effort was Zach Parise, who scored twice to top 300 career goals.
Parise is the 196th player in NHL history to reach 300 goals.
Minnesota is now 3-2-1 on the season, two points behind the Blues for the top spot in the Central Division.
Up next, the Wild play the Bruins in Boston on Tuesday night.
