On the same day the Minnesota Wild placed Jason Zucker on injured reserve, the team got some more bad news about another one of their top goal scorers.
Forward Zach Parise is also not with the Wild as they begin a critical two game road trip Thursday night in Philadelphia. The Star Tribune’s Michael Russo reports that Parise is out with an upper body injury.

Parise is tied for the team lead in goals with 18. He also has 18 assists on the season for 36 points in 51 games.
He was injured in Tuesday night’s 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders. The Hockey Writers note that Parise didn’t speak with the media after the game, but was with the team’s trainers instead.
Officially he is listed as day-to-day.
The Wild already have called up Jordan Schroeder from Iowa. With two injuries among their forwards, Schroeder seems likely to get at least two games in a Wild uniform.
He’s scored just one goal in 13 NHL games this season.
The Wild enter Thursday night’s game in Philadelphia just two points behind Colorado for the second wildcard spot in the NHL’s Western Conference. Minnesota will head to Washington Friday, before returning home to play Sunday against Florida.
