Yesterday, we brought you speculation that the reason Wild winger Zach Parise missed Monday’s 4-1 loss to Philadelphia stemmed from a Nov. 27 injury, one that never had time to heal after he took a shot off the foot.
Of course, we were second to this bit of information, because perhaps the best hockey reporter in the country, the Star Tribune’s Michael Russo, had the inside track on that tidbit as well as pretty much everything else surrounding the Wild.
This new information on Parise is no different, as Russo reports that Parise is expected to miss more time with the injured foot.
Minnesota traveled to Winnipeg today to take on the Jets, a flight Parise did not make.

The Wild are mired in a 20-day stretch of not having won a game in regulation, having lost five of their last seven overall.
While the holiday break should’ve served them well in turning things around, this bit of news on Parise isn’t a great welcome back to the ice for head coach Mike Yeo and Minnesota.
