After being diagnosed with the mumps earlier this week, the Wild’s Zach Parise and Jason Pominville returned to practice on Saturday.
Both players will be evaluated before Minnesota’s tilt with the San Jose Sharks on Sunday, but it appears the veterans will be back in the lineup.
“They were pretty energetic; they looked fine,” Boudreau said at practice on Saturday. “They looked ok and they’ll tell me how they’ll feel tomorrow and then will go from there.”
Neither player has appeared in a game since Feb. 21 as the team had a bye week to close out the month of February.
With Parise and Pominville expected to be back in the lineup, Boudreau shuffled a few of his lines at practice.
Parise will be paired with Eric Staal and Chris Stewart while Pominville is slated on the fourth line with Erik Haula and Ryan White.
Here’s what the Wild’s lines looked like at practice, according to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune.
Parise – Staal – Stewart
Granlund – Koivu – Zucker
Niederreiter – Hanzal – Coyle
Pominville – Haula – White
The Wild and Sharks drop the puck on Sunday from the Xcel Energy Center at 5 p.m.
