Twins manger Ron Gardenhire tells the Pioneer Press right-hander P.J. Walters is scheduled to start against the Chicago White Sox on Sept. 5. Walters has been on the disabled list with inflammation in his right shoulder since June.
The Twins will go with a six-man rotation featuring Esmerling Vasquez, Samuel Deduno, Scott Diamond, Walters, Cole De Vries and Liam Hendriks.
Left-hander Brian Duensing will move back to the bullpen.
