Gopher football coach P.J. Fleck told GoMN.com earlier this week he doesn’t get much sleep – only four hours a night usually – but despite the lack of sleep, he’s always thinking ahead.
Fleck has been holding a pair of recruiting camps at TCF Bank Stadium this month, and he’s been tweeting out video highlights that feature incoming recruits and possible team prospects.
The NCAA forbids schools from posting videos of student athletes for recruiting purposes, and according to 247 Sports, a number of schools reported that Fleck was violating said rule.
However, a source told the website that Fleck’s using the video as an advertisement for Minnesota’s campus – which is allowed by the NCAA.
Here’s the video:
A couple ELITE camps in the books, excited to see more ELITE prospects in our next few!! Make sure you sign up! #RTBhttps://t.co/QCnbyomMFz

Kudos to the coach for being ahead of the curve, while the other schools who said, “you can’t do that” have no one to back them up.
Despite being here for less than six months, Fleck’s 2018 recruiting class is ranked 19th in the country – which is good for sixth in the crowded Big Ten conference.
Check out GoMN’s One Hunnit Podcast interview with Fleck, which is filled with 20 minutes of pure gold.
