On Friday night the Gophers opened up conference play against the Ohio State Buckeyes at Mariucci Arena and things didn’t exactly get off to a great start.
As the 1st period was reaching its halfway point, Ryan Lindgren and Vinni Lettieri got crossed up in the crease, netting the embarrassing own goal.

It’s not as if Ohio State needs help scoring. Their offense is one of the league’s best, averaging 4.38 goals per game which is the second-best figure in the nation.
Both Ohio State and Minnesota are off to great starts this season with both teams ranked – as high as 10th and 11th – in the latest national polls.
