The head coach of the Orlando Magic was taken ill during Friday night’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center.
The Magic tweeted that Steve Clifford “came down with an illness” during the third quarter of the game.
He was taken to a hospital in Minneapolis, where he’s underwent “further evaluation.”
The Magic managed to close out the game 132-118 over the Wolves.
John Denton, a writer for the Magic’s official website, said that it’s possible that the illness is heart-related.
“He left tonight’s game in the 3rd Q after saying he wasn’t feeling well,” he tweeted. “Cardiac issues possibly playing a role in the illness are not being ruled out.”
