Jake Odorizzi struck out nine in a nice start for the Twins but the offense managed just two hits and Milwaukee beat the Twins 2-0 Tuesday afternoon.
The game was broadcast on Facebook’s MLB Live page, one of 25 games included in MLB’s digital-only broadcast deal with the social media giant.
It’s the 10th loss in the last 12 games for the Twins, who earlier on Tuesday were a hot talker after MLB.com’s John Paul Morosi reported that Minnesota has informed teams around the league that they are willing trade players with expiring contracts, including Brian Dozier, Eduardo Escobar, Lance Lynn and Zach Duke.
Already with 47 losses and still 12 games to play before the All-Star break, the Twins could threaten their 103-loss season in 2016 for the most pre-All-Star break losses in the last eight seasons.
