Injuries have kept Johan Santana out of baseball three of the past four seasons, but the former Twins ace isn’t done competing yet.
According to SportsNet, Santana has signed a minor-league contract with Toronto Blue Jays. The deal includes an invite to spring training.

Santana hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since 2012 because of a torn anterior capsule in his left (pitching) shoulder. The same injury kept him out for the entire 2011 season. The left-hander signed with the Baltimore Orioles last season before a torn Achilles tendon ended his comeback bid, Sports Illustrated notes.
In 2012 he threw the first no-hitter in the history of the New York Mets.
Santana won Cy Young awards while pitching for the Twins in 2004 and 2006.
