Mike Tice’s years as the head coach for the Vikings were overwhelmingly forgettable.
A 32-33 record, one playoff appearance (a first round loss to Philadelphia), Spergon Wynn‘s start in Tice’s first game, and the Randy Ratio were just a few of the career highlights for the former head man of the purple.
Since his dismissal after the 2005 season Tice has roamed the league as an assistant, with his most recent stop coming in Chicago as the offensive coordinator last year.
Tice hasn’t found work this offseason, but he has found the racetrack, a place that put over $100,000 dollars in his pocket via the only winning pick six at the track yesterday at Del Mar in Southern California.
Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Heck, we’ll give him some credit here, sometimes it’s great to be both.
