The amount of playing time Adrian Peterson gets in his preseason debut against the 49ers Sunday night is still unknown, and head coach Leslie Frazier isn’t divulging any information.
“We got some things in place for him, and we’ll see how it goes as the game goes on,” Frazier told FOX Sports North. “But he’s had a great training camp for us. He’s worked extremely hard. He’s prepared himself. We’ll see how it goes as the game goes.”
Meanwhile, Peterson’s ultra-quick return from his torn ACL last season has put the pressure on stars like Washington quarterback, Robert Griffin III, to recover just as fast.
“It’s made it a lot tougher for guys with ACLs,” Frazier told Bob Sansevere of the Pioneer Press. “Now guys are trying to beat what Adrian did. Good luck.”
Frazier says rookie wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson will play a bigger role in the game. He’ll steal some reps from Jarius Wright, who is out with a concussion.
Kyle Rudolph tells WCCO that he’ll be working on his pass-blocking. He prides himself on being one of a few tight ends in the NFL that are reliable pass catchers and run blockers.
