Zach Parise and Ryan Suter are talented hockey players.
That absurdly obvious statement is about as obvious as the two Minnesota Wild stars being invited to the 2014 US Hockey Orientation next month, an event to help determine what players will represent the US at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.
There was one surprise, with Wild winger Jason Pominville being left off the invite list. The 30-year old Pominville was acquired late last year and posted nine points in ten games with the Wild.
