The Minnesota Timberwolves did not make a move before Thursday afternoon’s NBA Trade deadline.
The Wolves had been rumored to be involved in a few separate deals. None of them got more attention than Los Angeles and Dallas attempting to acquire Wolves superstar Kevin Love.

There had been many reports that had surfaced this week about the Lakers and Mavericks having interest in Love, but Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Flip Saunders never indicated a willingness to deal the Wolves superstar.
In fact, one report from Peter Vecsey claiming Love had asked Saunders for a trade drew a strong response from the Saunders on Twitter.
Love laughed off some of the reports, according to the Star Tribune.
“We laughed about it today,” Love told reporters after practice. “It’s a media-driven story. For the past couple years, I can’t believe some of the stuff that has come out. We went out and played hard last night, great performance as a team. To see some stuff like that is just kind of disheartening.”
The Wolves beat up on the Indiana Pacers 104-91 at Target Center Wednesday. Love’s 42 point, 16 rebound performance was a big factor in the win.
Love wasn’t the only Wolves player being discussed in possible moves. Minnesota had been rumored to be interested in Denver guard Andre Miller, but he was shipped to Washington.
Another rumored deal had the Wolves sending J.J Barea and Chase Budinger to Memphis for Tayshaun Prince and Tony Allen, but that also didn’t happen.
