The Gopher women’s basketball team earned the No. 6 playoff seed, which means a first round bye in the Big Ten Conference playoffs. The tournament starts this week, going from March 4 – 8 at the Sears Center Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The bracket was released Sunday night.

The Gophers play the last game of the night on Thursday, March 5. The Gophers will play the team that wins the first round game the night before, either No. 14 Purdue or No. 11 Wisconsin.
The game is scheduled to start 25 minutes after Game 5 ends, which is slated for a 6 p.m. start time.
The Gophers finished up their regular season Sunday with a 92-76 loss to the No. 2 seed Iowa. The Gophers went 22-8 overall and 11-7 in Big Ten play.
