It’s been about two weeks since Nicolas Cage was lucky enough to meet Twins infielder Eduardo Escobar in Puerto Rico, and ever since the chance meeting Escobar has been hitting the ball like Cage used to act, which is a lot.
They met on the beach in San Juan April 18. Escobar has had at least one hit in all 11 games since meeting Wicker Man, and his overall numbers make him look like an Army of One to opposing pitchers.
Escobar’s post-Cage numbers: .333 batting average with three home runs, six doubles, seven RBI and seven runs scored.

In all seriousness, Cage’s career hasn’t changed, so he might want to call up his buddy Escobar and ask for a bottle of the “Esky Win Water” that the Twins’ infielder has been drinking.

Although, considering the Twins have lost 10 of their last 11 games, maybe that’s not such a good idea.
