The National Hockey League and player’s association are reportedly in talks again, but the hope of the end of the NHL lockout comes with bad news for the Wild.
The Star Tribune reported that two top Wild prospects have been hurt in American Hockey League play and are looking at missing major playing time.
Defenseman Jonas Brodin — a 2011 first-round pick — broke his clavicle in Friday night’s AHL game between Houston and Oklahoma City and is expected to miss several weeks; while center Mikael Granlund — a 2010 first-round pick — strained a muscle in his lower right leg and will miss a few weeks.
Meanwhile, the talks to end the NHL lockout are the first since the sides met Oct. 18.
