The NHL is planning to play six games outside next year instead of one.
A Canadian TV report says Detroit, LA, New York, Chicago and Vancouver will be the hosts, according to the Pioneer Press.
Two of the games will be played at Yankee Stadium, with the New Year’s Day “Winter Classic” to be played at the University of Michigan.
The Wild?
Not in the plans right now.
But PiPress columnist Charley Walters hints the Wild and Blackhawks will host the “Winter Classic” at Target Field on New Years Day, 2015.
