The Wild will find out their draft position at Tuesday night’s NHL draft lottery.
Minnesota are in the lottery but due to NHL rules cannot move up from their current spot at No. 13 to the No. 1 overall pick. The highest the Wild can move up is to pick No. 3.
There are six possibilities of where the Wild can end up in the draft order:
- Move up to 3, 4 or 5
- Stay at 13
- Move back to 14 or 15
The current odds stand at a 90% chance the Wild stay at 13, a 4.2% chance of moving up to No. 3 and a 5% chance of dropping back to 14. Those odds will change based on who wins the first draw.
