Goaltending hasn’t always been a strength for the Minnesota Wild, but Devan Dubnyk is one of the top goaltenders in the game.
With that in mind, NHL.com took a look at the top goaltenders in the league and they believe Dubnyk is at the top of the list.
In an essay for the Players’ Tribune, Wild captain Mikko Koivu outlined what he thinks makes Dubnyk so good. Koivu pointed to two things.
- Body Language
- Rebound Control
While Dubnyk hasn’t had his best stretch of the season over the last couple of weeks, he’s still been the top goalie in the league. He has a .933 save percentage and a 1.99 goals against average.
