Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle DeMarcus Love has been suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season without pay for “violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances,” according to an NFL statement.
Love, however, will be eligible to return to the Vikings’ active roster on Monday, Sept. 30 following the team’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in London.
“I was shocked, man,” Love said to the Star Tribune about his suspension. “I’ve never cheated and never will. Not intentionally. Unfortunate it’s something I can’t change. It happened. It didn’t work out in my favor and so I’ve got to face the consequences.”
Love missed the entire 2012 season due to a damaged pectoral muscle. Some have tweeted that Love was a long shot to make the team this year:
#Vikings OT DeMarcus Love suspended first 4 games for violating NFL PED policy. I don't think he is/was going to make team, anyway.

DeMarcus better "Love" playing for another team. I don't see the #Vikings saving a roster spot for him after his 4-game PED suspension.
