Don’t worry, football fans, we’ve got you covered if you actually want to order a custom jersey with a “Harambe” nameplate.
News broke Wednesday that NFL Shop doesn’t allow people to order custom jerseys with the now-deceased gorilla’s name on the back of it. But after about 13 seconds of research we were able to successfully order the exact same custom Harambe jersey from the Vikings Locker Room store.
UPDATE: NFL Shop now allows Harambe nameplates, according to Darren Rovell. Putting it on a list of banned words was apparently a mistake.
Vikings Locker Room is the official provider of Vikings gear and is not related to NFL Shop.

Maybe this “spoons out for Harambe” pregame stunt by Vikings linebackers is why the Vikings’ official retailer hasn’t banned it.

Harambe is the name of the 17-year-old gorilla who was shot and killed after a little kid fell into his pen at the Cincinnati Zoo. The name has taken on a bit of a cult following ever since.
