After leaving Seattle and New England without a deal, free agent running back Adrian Peterson will make his next stop in New Orleans next week, according to NFL.com’s Heath Evans.

SiriusXM NFL Radio reported earlier this week that 3-5 teams are interested in Peterson. If New Orleans is one of them, Evans doesn’t think it’s an ideal fit because the Saints already have a three-down back in Mark Ingram.
Peterson has been linked to the Oakland Raiders in rumors, with former Vikings teammate Cordarrelle Patterson urging him to join him in Oakland. That chance might be out the window if Marshawn Lynch comes out of retirement and signs with the Raiders.
