The Minnesota Golden Gophers are hoping to put more butts in seats this season with a new ticket option it announced on Monday.
Described as its “most flexible ticket ever,” the Gopher Pass gives fans access to all seven home games in 2019 for the price of $199.96, which can be paid in four installments.
That averages out to $28.56 per game, with the all-mobile ticket allowing fans to watch games from different locations in the stadium.
Each pass holder will get a digital ticket delivered to their smartphone via text prior to each game, with fans able to link their accounts with other Gopher Pass users so they can sit with their friends.
You can also buy up to 4 passes on a single account to ensure you have seats together, and you can also buy additional tickets for guests for one-off games.
But the pass doesn’t guarantee you a seat. If the game is sold out, your Gopher Pass will be good for standing room only at TCF Bank.
The Gophers haven’t said how many of the passes it is selling, but did there was “limited availability.”

This year’s home schedule include games against South Dakota State, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Nebraska, Maryland, Penn State, and Wisconsin.
Gophers season ticket packages start at $249, but do offer additional benefits from Gopher Pass that includes guaranteed seating, access to loyalty events, and pre-sale access to postseason games.
