The Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints renew their rivalry in Minneapolis on Sunday, and the Saints’ social media team saw fit to highlight some of the major moments between the team in the past that … missed a few.
As you might expect, there are references to the infamous “Bountygate” 2009 NFC Championship game, and Alvin Kamara’s six touchdown performance over Mike Zimmer’s team on Christmas Day 2020.

But posting a picture celebrating all your victories makes your defeats all the more noticeable by their absence.
Naturally we’ll start with the Minneapolis Miracle in 2018, then the Vikings’ Wild Card round win over the Saints in New Orleans in January 2020. We can also talk last season’s double-doink win for the Vikings in London.
Naturally we don’t expect the Saints to celebrate these, but bring up past games between the two without referencing the Minneapolis Miracle, and you can be sure Vikings fans will be there to remind you.
And since Sunday’s meeting between the teams coming at a crucial time since both have 5-4 records, some Saints fans suggested that the best way forward may have been to … not say anything at all.

Needless to say, Vikings fans were well represented in the replies.
