Brooklyn Nets 24-year-old rising star Caris LeVert suffered a gruesome leg injury during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center on Monday night.
The injury happened with just 3.7 seconds left in the first half when LeVert came down awkwardly on his right leg while defending a Josh Okogie in transition.

A stretcher was immediately pushed onto the court near LeVert, who was lying in the floor in pain underneath the basket.
LeVert wound up being wheeled off the floor in a chair with his leg extended. He was then transported to a Minneapolis hospital for treatment.
UPDATE: Caris LeVert sustained a right leg injury and is being taken to a local hospital where he will undergo a full evaluation. Further updates will be issued as available.

The Wolves won the game 120-113 led by 25 points and 21 rebounds from Karl-Anthony Towns and a 24-point, 11-assist effort by Jeff Teague in his first game back after missing six games with a knee contusion.
It was Minnesota’s first game since trading Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
