The dream of an undefeated NHL season came to end for the Minnesota Wild Tuesday night at the X as the Nashville Predators rallied for a 3-1 win.
Dany Heatley tipped in a goal to give the Wild a 1-0 lead in first period, but they failed to get the puck past Nashville goalie Chris Mason again.
Nick Spaling, Martin Erat and David Legwand scored for the Predators.
Minnesota outshot its opponent for a third straight game (29-26).
The power play wasn’t successful, though. The Wild went 0-5 with the man advantage. They’re now 2-15 on the power play this season.
After playing three games in four days the Wild get a couple of days off before their first road test at Detroit on Friday.
