The last 48 hours have been both exciting and emotional for Timberwolves fans. Thursday before the NBA’s trade deadline the Wolves re-acquired the biggest-name player in the team’s history when they traded Thaddeus Young to Brooklyn.
Kevin Garnett is coming home.

According to the Washington Post, the video – put together by a fan – had more than 70,000 views in less than 24 hours.
Now 38, Garnett isn’t the same player that he was when Minnesota traded him to the Boston Celtics in 2007. But this homecoming brings his career full circle, as he returns to the team that drafted him with the fifth overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft.
Timberwolves president and coach Flip Saunders said Thursday night that Garnett will bring veteran leadership and a winning attitude to the young Wolves team.
He will also bring energy to a fan base that hasn’t seen the team make the playoffs since before Garnett left. That was quickly apparent in a report from Ticket King that Wolves ticket sales shot up 794 percent between Wednesday and Thursday.
