Fernando Rodney might be new on the team, but he’s now familiar with what it’s like to wear a Twins uniform and play the New York Yankees.
Rodney, Minnesota’s big free agent addition to bolster the back end of the bullpen, came on in the ninth inning with the Twins leading 3-1 and served up a 3-run, walk-off homer to Gary Sanchez on Thursday.

The Yankees swept the four-game series and the Twins have now lost seven straight games.
The loss also spoiled a masterful start by Kyle Gibson. The right-hander allowed just one hit and struck out 10 in six innings.

By the way, the Twins are now 31-82 against the Yankees in regular season play since 2002, and another 2-13 against them in the playoffs.
