Play eventually stopped and Spurgeon was able to get to the bench and replace the skate.
The 26-year-old is one Minnesota’s longest tenured defenseman having played in 378 games in his seven-year career entering play on Saturday.
So if you thought hockey was hard enough, imagine trying to play without a skate…
