Eddie Rosario might be on the verge of something special.
The Twins outfielder drove in the game-winning run in the 11th inning on a line drive sacrifice fly to center field to score Carlos Correa, giving Puerto Rico a 4-3 win over Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic semifinals.

Earlier in the WBC, Rosario made one of the best defensive plays of the tournament with a rocket throw from right field to get the Dominican Republic’s Jean Segura at the plate.
Puerto Rico will play for the title against the winner of Tuesday’s semifinal between the United States and Japan.
In four games, Rosario is hitting .462 with two doubles, a triple, four RBI and three runs.
After leading the league with 15 triples as a rookie in 2015, Rosario went through a sophomore slump in 2016 and saw his numbers in nearly every statistical category take a dive.
Maybe his performance and confidence boost from the WBC will carry over to the Twins this season.
