After five years calling plays for the Minnesota Vikings, offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave is leaving to become the quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, according to FOX Sports.

Musgrave’s departure was expected. New Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer is building his own coaching staff, and it was reported last week that Norv Turner was hired as Minnesota’s new offensive coordinator.
The Star Tribune is reporting that Turner’s son, Scott Turner, will be the Vikings quarterbacks coach. Norv was the offensive coordinator for the Browns last season while Scott coached Cleveland’s wide receivers.
The Vikings finished No. 14 in scoring offense and No. 13 in total offense under Musgrave last season.
As 1500 ESPN noted, no indications have been made that Zimmer’s new coaching staff will contain many holdovers from Minnesota’s previous coaching staff.
Ben Goessling’s sources tell him that wide receivers coach George Stewart and offensive line coach Jeff Davidson have a “decent” chance to remain on Zimmer’s staff.
