On Friday night in Texas, Byron Buxton collided with the outfield wall and had to be carted off the field. Buxton underwent an MRI on Satuday which revealed no structural damage on his knee. He could play on Saturday, according to Phil Miller of the Star Tribune.

Buxton is not in the starting lineup, with Danny Santana roaming center field instead. The injury couldn’t have come at worse time too considering Buxton was starting to hit better at the plate.
In his last 12 games, Buxton was hitting .275 and slugging .450. Buxton told Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com that he hopes to be available this weekend.
