A little over a year ago San Diego Padres superstar Fernando Tatis fractured his wrist in a motorcycle accident. Be it ill-timed or irony, Tatis was at the plate during Wednesday’s Padres-Twins game when a motorcycle injury advertisement was displayed on the Bally Sports San Diego broadcast.

A banner ad placed at the bottom of the screen displayed “Injured in a motorcycle accident?” followed by a prompt to contact Law Tigers, which is a nationwide company that provides lawyers for motorcycle crash victims.
Tatis fractured his wrist in the early 2022 motorcycle crash and missed the first 102 games of the season. He was on a rehab assignment nearing his return to the Padres when Major League Baseball suspended him 80 games for a PED violation.
Thursday’s game against the Twins marked Tatis’s 18th game of the season. He homered on the first pitch of the game, good for his fifth of the year and 86 of his career in just 291 career games.
