The Minnesota Twins will wait until this summer to play the series finale against the New York Mets as another mix of wintery weather moves across the state, Fox Sports North reports.
The matchup will be made up on Monday, Aug. 19 at 1:10 p.m. at Target Field.
New York was hoping to break out the brooms Sunday after opening the interleauge series with a 16-5 victory. The Mets also topped the Twins 4-2 on Saturday.
Fans with tickets to Sunday’s game can save their ticket and attend the rescheduled game or use the value of their ticket as a voucher toward any future Twins regular 2013 season game, according to the Twins website.
Fans who wish to exchange their tickets for another game must bring the tickets to the Target Field box office no later than 48 hours prior to the start of the rescheduled game. Tickets returned any later will be considered invalid.
