It’s time for Monday Morning QB, our weekly check of opinions surrounding Sunday’s Vikings game. In this case, it was that 23-14 stinker at Lambeau Field, where Adrian Peterson ran for 210 yards, but Minnesota still lost.
In a previous post (Christian Ponder edition), we offered several links focusing on the uber-rough day by Minnesota’s starting quarterback. In this post, opinions on what AP did, and how a lot of people feel his career is being wasted.
To start, we go to KFAN.com, where blogger A.J. Mansourwrote “Peterson posted the third best rush-total of his amazing career and the Vikings passing game found a way to quite literally throw the thing away.”
Over at MinnPost, Vikings writer Jim Klobucharput it this way: “It was never intended to be a game of one man against 11. But it almost worked.”
Star Tribune writer Chip Scoggins said “Peterson played the role of one-man wrecking crew …He can’t do it alone, though.”
Finally, from the Daily Norseman, Eric J. Thompson writes a letter to AP from all Vikings fans. Opening line? “We’re sorry.”
