It’s Monday Morning QB, our roundup of what the football experts are saying about Sunday’s Vikings win over the Bears, led by MVP candidate Adrian Peterson.
Eric Nelson of GamedayGold.com writes: “It’s getting redundant, but Peterson was sensational again – especially in the first half when he dashed for 125 of his 154 yards.
Jim Souhan of the Star Tribune says the win means that “the rest of December will matter.”
Pioneer Press writer Tom Powers says the Vikings — after 13 games – have finally found a winning formula, by going retro with running and defense. In his words: “Heck, after grabbing that 14-0 first-quarter lead, it was almost as if the Vikings went about trying to run out the clock for the final three quarters.”
Ted Glover of the DailyNorseman.com says making the playoffs is unlikely, but at this point “give me a win against the Packers, and I’m not going to complain all that much.”
The out of town opinion? For that, we go to Chicago Sun-Times writer Rick Morrissey. He’s not too happy after seeing Chicago lose again: “They have lost four of their past five games, including a 21-14 effort against a below-average Vikings team. What does that make the visitors from Chicago? Below below-average.”
