Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association have agreed to terms on a 60-game season that will see players report to training camps next week and begin on July 24 according to CBSSports HQ Jim Bowden.
The news of the agreement was confirmed by the MLBPA Twitter account, which said that all issues including revenue and COVID-19 concerns have been resolved.

The two sides have been in disagreement revolving a revenue split for the shortened season. That resulted in months of fruitless negotiations and pushed the start of the season all the way back to late July where the NHL and NBA will also attempt to restart their seasons after they were suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although spring training facilities were temporarily closed due to nearly 40 MLB employees testing positive for COVID in the past week, things will move quickly as teams head to camps and submit a 60-man roster list by Sunday according to The Athletic’s Jayson Stark.
The 60-game schedule will also feature the Twins taking on opponents from the American League and National League Central according to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.
Plan is for teams to play 40 games in division and 20 games interleague with their geographic counterpart (East vs. East, etc.) #MLB
