Twins catcher Joe Mauer looks to be a lock in returning to the Major League All-Star Game.
Mauer, already a five-time All-Star, leads American League catchers with 863,450 votes, followed by Baltimore’s Matt Wieters (715,055 votes).
No other Twin is in the top five in any other position, including designated hitter.
Detroit third-baseman Miguel Cabrera leads all AL vote-getters with 1,500,165. The triple-crown winner is followed by Yankees second-baseman Robinson Canoe at 1,235,230 votes.
The All-Star Game will be played at Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, on Tuesday, July 16. Final rosters will be announced on July 7.
