The MLB All-Star Game lineups for Tuesday’s contest have been announced, and there are Minnesota connections up and down the 2013 starters in both leagues.
Lineup: Trout 7, Cano 4, Cabrera 5, Davis 3, Bautista 9, Ortiz DH, Jones 8, Mauer 2, Hardy 6. Pitching: Scherzer

Oh yes, three of the last four hitters in the AL lineup are either current Twins (Mauer catching and hitting eight), or, much more likely, former Twins (Ortiz DH’ing and hitting six, Hardy playing shortstop and hitting nine). Detroit starter Max Scherzer will be on the bump for the AL. Here is the NL lineup.

OK, so the only former Twin in that one is Michael Cuddyer, who will be the DH and hit eight. Mets pitcher Matt Harvey will get the start on the mound for the NL.
Don’t worry, there’s no shortage of bench players. Names like Nathan, Crain, Gomez, and Hunter, they’ll all be there!
Cold sweats and flashbacks will litter our Tuesday night.
