New Orleans has hosted the Super Bowl ten times, tied with Miami for the most ever. Indianapolis has hosted the big game once (2012).
“We’ve got a great market, we’ve got a great hospitality infrastructure, we’ve got great venues, and we’re going to deliver one of the best game-day experiences in the NFL,” Vikings vice president Lester Bagley explained to the Pioneer Press. “Our state has stepped up, and one of the reasons they stepped up was to build a facility that’s multi-purpose.
“We’ve got seats, and premium spaces that are closer to the action than any other NFL stadium.”
The new Vikings stadium is schedule to open in 2016.
