Four Super Bowl losses for the Vikings and zero Big Ten championships for the Gophers since 1967 are pretty good reasons to be down about the state of football in Minnesota. But while the teams might not win the big games, Minnesota’s football fans are living the good life.
According to Wallet Hub, Minneapolis offers the 10th-best football experience for fans in the country. The study included research in 11 key metrics, including number of teams, ticket prices, championships, division titles, fan friendliness, number of sports bars, franchise value and more.
Naturally, for whatever the reason, Green Bay topped the list.
- Green Bay, Wisconsin
- East Lansing, Michigan
- Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Denver, Colorado
- Tuscaloosa, Alabama
- San Francisco, California
- Dallas, Texas
- Cincinnati, Ohio
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Minneapolis, Minnesota

Finally a little bit of positivity. It seems like just yesterday we did a story about all four of the Vikings’ Super Bowl losses being ranked among the seven worst in NFL history. Oh? We did?
By the way, Happy Birthday, Vikings!
On this day in 1960 MN was granted an @NFL franchise at the league owner's meetings.
Happy Birthday to us. #Skol pic.twitter.com/ICoFq36XFI
