Despite having the second-best record in the Western Conference and home-ice advantage, the Wild’s season ended prematurely on Saturday with a 4-3 loss to the St. Louis Blues.

After being fired by the Wild last season, Mike Yeo got his revenge against his former team, bouncing Minnesota in five games.
St. Louis came out firing on all cylinders, scoring two-goals in the first ten-minutes of play. Ryan Suter netted a power-play goal towards the end of the first period to make it a one-goal game.
The Blues regained their two-goal lead in the third period but Mikko Koivu netted another goal on the power play, cutting the deficit to one.
With just five remaining in regulation, Jason Zucker tied it up and sent the game to overtime.

Finally midway through overtime, Magnus Paajarvi netted the game-winning goal for St. Louis.
St. Louis will play the Nashville Predators in the next round of the playoffs.
