Wild fans are still feeling down after being dumped in five games by former coach Mike Yeo and the St. Louis Blues. Well, Yeo threw more salt on the wound to the State of Hockey by adding goon Steve Ott to his coaching staff on Thursday.
The former bench boss of the Wild had nothing but glowing things to say about Ott stating, “He was highly respected as a player and a person among his teammates, and I believe he will be a huge asset to our staff.”
Fans remember Ott from the 2015 playoffs, where he tried everything he could to get the Wild to stoop his level of making poor decisions and taking penalties.
But in reality, most of Minnesota’s fans and even defenseman Matt Dumba just laughed at him…

And just check out this Tweet from the St. Louis Blues during the 2015 playoffs.
Judging from the Twitter chatter, Wild fans aren’t liking Steve Ott much. That’s one reason why we like him a lot. #stlblues #OurBlues

Ott played in 566 games in his 15-year career with stops in Dallas, Buffalo, St. Louis, Detroit and Montreal.
