Miguel Sano smashed a home run and drove in the tying run as the Minnesota Twins earned a come-from-behind, 4-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night.
The Twins were climbing uphill all night as starter Kenta Maeda gave up a leadoff home run to Victor Reyes to put the Tigers on the board early.
That was enough support for Detroit starter Tarik Skubal who shut the Twins lineup down over six innings allowing one run with two hits, two walks, and six strikeouts.
Despite the struggles at the plate, the Twins remained in a 1-1 tie heading into the seventh inning when the Tigers finally struck. Jeimer Candelario and Emilio Bonafacio each delivered RBI singles to take advantage of the Twins bullpen for a 3-1 lead, but Miguel Sano started the comeback with his ninth home run of the season in the bottom half of the seventh.

Sano struck again in the ninth inning delivering the tying run on an RBI single and Byron Buxton helped the Twins walk off on an infield single to take home the victory.
The Twins improve to 25-16 with their fifth straight win and will host the Tigers in the series finale on Sunday afternoon at Target Field.
