It may still be early in the season but slugger Miguel Sano has been destroying baseballs for the Twins.
Through 9 games, Sano is hitting .310, with 3 home runs and a ridiculous slugging percentage of .793, which is the second-best figure in the American League.
Check out where his numbers stack up entering play on Friday.
- 1st in runs, 10
- 1st in OPS, 1.235
- 2nd in SLG, .793
- 2nd in RBI, 11
- 4th in BB, 8
- 5th in HR, 3
- 5th in OBP, .459
After coming off a disappointing sophomore season where he played in just 116 games, Sano is off to a much better start in 2017.
Obviously his slugging percentage will come back down to earth, but the power numbers he’s displaying is why he was considered one of the top prospects in baseball a few years ago.
His impressive play is a big reason why the Twins are off to a hot start in 2017.
Minnesota begins a ten-game home stand this weekend, starting with the Chicago White Sox. First pitch is set for 7:10.
