The GOAT Michael Jordan will be making his way to Minneapolis this weekend to honor his longtime friend, Ahmad Rashad.
Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reported on Tuesday that Jordan will be in attendance for Rashad’s induction into the Vikings Ring of Honor during halftime of Sunday’s game against the Lions.
The two have been friends ever since Rashad became a broadcaster when he covered the Chicago Bulls.
They’re even next door neighbors in Florida and play a ton of golf together. Tomasson notes the two played a round last weekend with former President Barack Obama.
Back in 2014, Jordan told Rashad that Obama is a “[expletive] golfer.”
Rashad, who played wide reciever for the Vikings from 1976-92, had a prolific career. He made the Pro Bowl four times with Minnesota and caught 34 touchdowns in his seven years in purple and gold.
